Synopsis
« Blending V. » is a silent black & white video, presenting a digitally-constructed abstract world, a hybrid environment in a continuous morphing state, devoid of a tangible original. Through CGI & AI, it embodies Jacques Baudrillard’s concept of « Simulacre », showcasing a « Reality+ », born from common human consciousness & digital mediums, blurring lines between authentic & artificial. The stark black & white imagery & the absence of sound, further enhance this otherworldliness, compelling also introspection on the nature of perception. As a first piece of the « Blending VSA » trilogy, the video initiates a larger investigation into the human-AI creative relationship, questioning how these simulacra impact both the artist’s & the audience’s experience. This exploration aligns with the artist’s wish to examine the digital replicas that reshape our understanding of reality, inviting the audience to contemplate & reflect on the hyperreality of technology.
